Individual Therapy

  The decision to talk to a therapist can be daunting.  This is especially true if you are what society might consider 'non-traditional.' The last thing you want is to feel judged, looked down on, or even pressured to convert to a religion or belief system.  

  I specialize in helping those that fall under that 'non-traditional' banner.  I proudly help those that are LGBTQ+; individuals who are polyamorous or non-monogamous; and those kink, fetish, or alternative lifestyle.  I am a non-judgemental, secular therapist.

    I mainly practice Narrative therapy. This style of therapy works by helping the client separate themselves from the problem. Narrative therapy also helps clients find, recognize, and develop their inner strengths so that they can overcome obstacles or issues that they are facing in their life. Narrative therapy differs from traditional therapy by assuming the client is the expert in their life, not the therapist.

  

   As the therapist, my job is more of a 'life editor.' I work with the client to develop their life story.  To me, it doesn't matter how difficult a particular chapter has been in your life story, together we can work on rephrasing or even rewriting a chapter to build a better foundation for future chapters.
